Degree Requirements: Students pursuing the B.A. must complete 110 units from TCBS (100 core + 10 elective) plus 70 quarter-equivalent units of General Education from a junior college, four-year college, university, or an approved credit-equivalent exam (CLEP) or online program. Students who wish to complete only the TCBS requirements will graduate with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Biblical Studies and Theological Studies.

Biblical Greek
9 Units- Elementary Greek I
- Elementary Greek II
- Elementary Greek III
Elementary Greek requirements can be fulfilled by completing three Bachelor Credit Examinations.
Hermeneutics
9 Units- Hermeneutics 1
- Hermeneutics 2
- Hermeneutics 3
These three courses may be fulfilled by completing BE 501 at the bachelor’s level and passing three Bachelor Credit Examinations. BE 501 is a dual enrollment class.
Biblical Exposition
30 Units- Exposition of Genesis

BE 101 may be fulfilled by BE 505; BE 310 and BE 320 by BE 502 and BE 503; BE 330 by BE 504. BE 502, 503, and 504 are dual enrollment classes open to both college and graduate students.
Church History

These are dual enrollment classes and may be fulfilled by their corresponding graduate-level courses taken at the bachelor’s level.
Theology

- Hamartiology & Soteriology

Theology core courses are dual enrollment classes fulfillable by their corresponding graduate-level equivalents (for example, ST 101 = ST 501). ST 302 Sanctification corresponds to ST 603 The Christian Life at the master’s level.
Practical Theology
10 Units- Marriage and Family
- Biblical Counseling I
- Biblical Counseling II
These are dual enrollment classes which may be fulfilled by their graduate-level equivalents (for example, BC 410 = PT 502 Marriage and Family).
Elective Courses — 10 Units
Students select 10 units of elective coursework from an approved list, allowing for further depth in areas such as biblical exposition, counseling, or additional theological study. Elective offerings rotate from year to year based on faculty availability; courses beyond the published list may be approved by the Academic Dean.
General Education — 70 Units
Completed outside TCBS and required for the B.A., but not for the A.A.
General Education units may be earned at a junior college, four-year college or university, or through an approved credit-equivalent exam program such as CLEP. These credits are in addition to TCBS coursework, and official transcripts must be received by the Registrar’s Office before graduation eligibility is established.
General Education requirements ensure that graduates have a broad foundation in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and communication — skills that serve a graduate not only in further study but in the lifelong work of ministry.
