A native of upstate New York, Mike brings extensive pastoral experience and theological training to the classroom. Before seminary, he served as a pastoral assistant at Middlesex Bible Church (NY). While in seminary, he taught classes in the Logos Bible Institute at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California and served as a faculty associate at The Master’s Seminary. In 1997, Penn Yan Bible Church (NY) called Mike as their associate pastor. There he was ordained to gospel ministry and eventually served as interim senior pastor. From 2004-05, Mike served as interim pastor-teacher at Heritage Bible Church (NY) while also conducting an extensive pulpit supply ministry. Mike was a resident faculty member at TCBS from 2005-2018 and has served as an adjunct or visiting professor at several other universities and seminaries. Mike currently serves as a global theological educator with Biblical Ministries Worldwide. Headquartered in Anderson, SC, he directs the Barnabas Initiative, which comes alongside international ministry training centers on an itinerant basis, providing specialized, seminary-level training to pastors and other church leaders serving in parts of the world where traditional seminary training is neither available nor feasible. In this capacity, he continues to serve TCBS in an adjunct role.
